Yes, our January Top Ten video is posted on thrivedecatur.com! “The Top Ten Trends We Expect to See in 2010.” In this edition: Jay gets an email, Doug has straw trouble, Timmy loses a shoe, Janet gets physical, and Hugh has a crush.
But wait! There’s more to the story! In previous installments, Doug has played a character we refer to simply as “The Clown.” In this edition, we all get in on the act and present an entire group of Clown characters! What we have here – exclusive to this site – is the continuation of the Clown bit featured in the top ten. While technically the video below can be viewed as a standalone bit, we urge you watch the top ten video first if you have yet to do so.
There are fun days on the set, and then there are days when you look around you and think, “Cripes. We get paid to do this?”
Well, no. We don’t get paid to do this. In fact, we actually pay to do this. But you know what? We all got to dress up as clowns, and gosh darn it, we laughed our arses off.

Belated Halloween pic? Questionable career move? Wednesday?
Jay and Timmy recently spent an afternoon clowning around in various getups filming a commercial spot. While we can’t tell you who the spot is for (we will once a premiere date has been confirmed), we can tell you what our boys were up to and show you the full pic from above. Right after the jump…
We are very excited to announce that a couple of Troupers were involved in a commercial entry into the “Doritos Crash the Superbowl” contest!
Hugh and Doug are featured in the spot, and Jay co-produced along with frequent Troupe collaborator Jim Cloney. Jay also wrote the script (based on an original concept by Jim), directed, co-edited with Jim, and mixed the sound (best to listen with headphones for the ‘fight’ scene!).

We are proud to announce that our November Top Ten video has been posted at thrivedecatur.com! Check it out, and pick up your copy of the November issue of Thrive – featuring the print version of the list – at participating locations throughout the Decatur area!
This time around we look at “Our Top Ten Favorite Thanksgiving Traditions.” In the video, the gang tries to prepare their annual Thanksgiving feast. As usual, things don’t quite turn out the way they intended. And there’s a very special turkey featured. That’s all we can say…

Finally, Troupers have been busy appearing in various other projects, a couple which we can’t even talk about just yet! One we can talk about is the radio spot for Thrive featuring new characters from The Dynamic News team: anchor Bruce Cookie and reporter Joanna Goolagong! Portrayed by Timmy and Janet, you can hear the spots in the Decatur area on Y103, WSOY, 95Q, and The Fan. Video versions may follow!

This is a Dynamic (Troupe) Production, though not an official Troupe Dynamic joint. We threw it together for Timmy, who spoke at a youth conference last night and included this PSA as part of his presentation (he also awarded several participants with “Emergency Undergarment Kits”).
Produced and directed by Jay from an original idea by Timmy, it stars Troupers Timmy and Doug along with Alex Bishop, Marla Christensen, and Jay’s Mom & Dad (their preferred stage names). The logo was designed by Kat Smalley of Showcard Studio.
This was done fast and furious; as in, we filmed it fast and Jay edited furiously. This was a last minute idea from Timmy, but we jumped in and got it done!
